祈使句，是表示“命令、請求、禁止以及勸告”等的句子。祈使句的主語常常是二人稱you，常省略；祈使句句末以感嘆號結尾。
【祈使句口訣】
祈使句無主語 ，主語you常省去；
動詞原形做謂語，Don’t句首變否定；
朗讀應用感嘆調，句末常打感嘆號。
英語中的祈使句，可以分為兩大類：一類是肯定祈使句，另一類是否定祈使句。
第一、肯定祈使句：
常常以“動詞原形”開頭，動詞無人稱、時態和數的變化。肯定祈使句有三種結構：
1.Do 型：實義動詞+其它
(1) Get up now, or you will miss the early bus. 現在就起床，否則你會錯過早班車的。
(2) Hurry up, or we will be late for the class. 快點，我們上課要遲到了。
2.Be 型：Be動詞+形容詞+其它
(1) Be quite in the library, please. 在圖書館里，請保持安靜。
(2) Be careful. That machine is dangerous. 小心，那個機器危險。
3.Let型：Let sb do sth: 讓某人做某事
(1) Let’s go shopping together this weekend. 這個周末，我們一起去購物吧。
【注意】
1.英語中，有時為了加強說話的語氣，在動詞原形前面加do，即“Do+動詞原形+其它”。
(1) Do come to my birthday party this Saturday. 本周六，一定要來參加我的生日派對。
(2) Do study hard. 一定要努力學習！
2.如需寫出祈使句的主語時，主語和動詞原形之間用“逗號”隔開。
(1) Jack, come to my office, please.
(2) Please come to my office, Jack.
常考易錯重點句型：祈使句，and/or + 句子。
該句型中，祈使句中的動詞用原形，后面的句子時態常用一般將來時。其中，and表示“并列”，or表“否則”之意。
該句型中的祈使句，相當于一個條件狀語從句。
(1) Study hard, or you will probably miss a lot of chances. 一定要努力學習，要不然你可能會錯過很多機會。
以上句子可以轉換為一個條件狀語從句：
If you don’t study hard, you will probably miss a lot of chances.
第二、否定祈使句：
1.Don’t+動詞原形+其它，表示“不要做某事”。
(1) Don’t touch the dog, or it will bite you. 不要摸那只狗，否則它會咬你的。
(2) Don’t eat in the classroom. 在教室里不要吃東西。
2.No+名詞/現在分詞，表示“禁止、不準做某事”。
(1) No smoking in the museum. 博物館里禁止吸煙！
(2) No food in the computer room. 計算機房里禁止吃東西。
3.Never+動詞原形+其它，用以加強否定的語氣，翻譯為“絕不要…”。
(1) Never give up in your study. 在學習上絕不要放棄！
(2) Never do it again. 絕不要再做！
(3) Never judge a person by his/her looks.一定不要以貌取人！
4.Let’s+not+動詞原形+其它，翻譯為“讓我們不要…”。
(1) Let’s not play computer games at school. 我們在學校不要玩游戲吧！
(2) Let’s not talk about his secret. 我們不要談論他的秘密了。
